Hilton Gardens Inn provided a wonderful setting for this late summer wedding. There’s a spacious courtyard only steps away from the reception space, and the staff is helpful and accommodating. The couple provided a list of requests they had collected from their guests ahead of time, as well as selections for the key moments. “New York New York” and “Allentown” were included in honor of the couple’s respective home towns too.
I provided one of the more elaborate lighting setups that I can offer for this event, including uplighting around the perimeter of the room, moving lights for the dance floor, and four vertical trusses topped with rotating spots. I also provided two sound systems, one for the ceremony and another for the reception. A wireless clip on mic was provided for the officiant at the ceremony, and a wireless handheld mic was provided for toasts. The nicest part was assisting the groom’s niece with her performance of a song for the couple.
