Setlist: “Studio 54” Metro Underground Spring Formal 2018 April 7 2018 @Stanton & Greene

The legendary nightclub Studio 54 was the theme for The Metro Underground’s 2018 Spring Formal, and I was very pleased to be part of the DJ line-up this year (along with DJ Rick Furr and DJ RineSin). Lots of people (myself included) embraced the theme and came out sporting some flashy 70’s threads. Lots of gold lamé, bellbottoms, and platform shoes. It was a great party and a great opportunity to bust out some Disco classics! I was also able to debut an original mash-up of Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” and Kiss’ “I Was Made For Lovin’ You.” This work was entirely prompted and inspired by Miss Hellcat and her observation that the central riff in both songs has a similar vibe. Good call!
