The Inn at Vint Hill features an enormous Sperry tent where Darian and Corey’s reception was held. The ceremony was held on the grounds, which are lush and beautiful and surrounded by the beautiful Virginia countryside. The Inn is quite charming and offers a lovely walkdown from the second floor to the ceremony below. The staff is friendly and helpful as well.
I met with the couple beforehand out in Harper’s Ferry (lovely town) to discuss the details for their event and to assemble a list of songs to play for the ceremony and the reception. I also visited the venue the day before the event so we could discuss the setup. We ended up with beautiful weather on the day of the event, which was great because the week leading up to the wedding was rainy and overcast. Vint Hill looks really lovely on a sunny day, so we lucked out!
For this event, I provided three sound systems: One for the ceremony, one for the cocktail hour inside the Inn, and one for the reception in the Sperry tent. I provided wireless clip-on mic’s for the officiant and the couple during the ceremony, and a wireless handheld mic for toasts during the reception. I provided a lighting truss over the DJ table set up with several moving lights, some colorful wash lights, and a mirror ball. I set up two moving spots on the floor at the back to project across the tent surface.
